Pre-exhibition press conference

On Nov., 17, 2016, 2017 Design Shanghai pre-exhibition press conference was successfully held in Xintiandi. The conference was so popular that it attracted friends from media, architects and famous designers to gather and share. Of course, beautiful design-driven furniture from MATSU was also a highlight on the spot.

As a strategic partner of this conference, MATSU designed very aesthetic and inspiring high-end discussing space and modern and passionate fashion party for the event.

2017 Highlights Preview

2017 “Design Shanghai” will be held from 8^th, March to 11^th, March in Shanghai Exhibition Center. Let’s take a quick preview of design fashion before Milan Furniture Fair. It’s a you-can’t-miss-it ceremony for design cons. Design Shanghai has always been very popular that in 2016, people were waiting for 4 hours for this show and the 4-day event had attracted over 50000 people to visit it. Next year, things must be even more beautiful!

Highlight 1: Newly introduced bathroom and kitchen design showroom and office furniture showroom. Two more from 3 showrooms in 2016 to 5 showrooms in 2017: contemporary design showroom, classical design showroom, limited version design showroom and newly introduced bathroom and kitchen design and office furniture showrooms. These 5 showrooms will involve 350 exhibitors from home and abroad, including 25 countries and regions.

Highlight 2: Yang Design will release synchronous “2017 China Design Trend Report”. Yang Mingjie, founder of Yang Design, was the first to announce his studio’s major plan about 2017 exhibition: Yang Design will release synchronous “2017 China Design Trend Report”; meanwhile, “Yang’s Creation Plan”, in the theme of “time is our tool to make creation”, will also make more progress.

Highlight 3: To commemorate Zaha Hadid. In order to commemorate deceased famous architect, Zaha Hadid, every showroom will present one classical work designed by this great woman.

Highlight 4: “Design Shanghai ·Xintiandi Design Festival” will take place and will invite Songtao, Hou Zhengguang and Du Xinyue for planning. Hiroshi Aoyama, Masayuki Kurokawa and Zhang Zhoujie and other international designers will be responsible for interaction device planning in Xintiandi’s all regions.

Design Shanghai and Shanghai Xintiandi have reached more profound collaboration agreement that the both sides will also hold “Design Shanghai ·Xintiandi Design Festival” from 6, March to 19, March.

2017 Design Shanghai connects the entire Shanghai via designs. In order to enable better connection between Shanghai Exhibition Center and the events in Xintiandi, organizers and Xintiandi will arrange special buses for visitors transportation from 13:00 to 21:00 every day. the buses will go between “Design Shanghai” Shanghai Exhibition Center and Shanghai Xintiandi, and stop at design brands showroom, museum and landmark architectures. Visitors can get off any stop they want. MATSU Shanghai Creative Furniture flagship store is also one of these spots.
