"The Invisible in the Visible”: MATSU Joined Hands with Wang Xiaohui on a Nano Photographic Art Exhibition

By greeting the genial breeze in summer, Matsu joined hands with the famous artist Wang Xiaohui, who used to live in Germany and launched the art tour of office furniture with her together. It is an important opportunity for Matsu at its 17th birthday since establishment and another major progress of “inspiring office lifestyle”.
During June 28 - July 31, 2013, the MATSU flagship showroom in Shanghai held a nano photographic exhibition themed “Invisibility”, which is the first exhibition of Wang Xiaohui’s nano photographic works in Shanghai. Meanwhile, this exhibition also witnessed the start of strategic cooperation between Wang Xiaohui Art Center and MATSU.
Wang Xiaohui has been an active art figure in both China and Europe. She has held many art exhibitions in numerous art museums around the world. Her works have won many international awards and have been collected by all sorts of organizational and individual collectors. This strategic cooperation between MATSU and Wang Xiaohui will illustrate the unique artistic qualities of MATSU as a high-end office furniture brand in a perfect way. The “invisible” artistic pursuit of Wang Xiaohui blended with the ‘visible" MATSU office spaces marks the beginning of "The Invisible in the Visible” office art journey. This is a combination of artistic pursuits and space realities,a mutual promotion between heritage and innovation. We combine personality development in the art circle with socialized responsibility to promote cooperation between the Chinese office furniture industry and the art circle in an artistic language.
Amazing Nano Art
Nano art is also called the “Invisible’ art by scientists. It is a new form of electronic intangible art. A nanometer is only a billionth of one meter. It is only visible under the lens of the high-powered photoelectric microscope. You cannot observe objects in nanometers in your naked eyes.
Wang Xiaohui has discovered the New Continent of photographic art in the nano world with her artistic eyes under the high-powered microscope. The nano world under the lens of her camera is amazing and can even expand people’s imagination into the uncharted territory. The glass fragments have been human body’s microwaves beyond the interpretation of psychologists; the dust-like carbon powder looks like shimmering ocean or sinuous and winding mountains; hair-like fibers seem to be boundless desert and unfrequented Silk Way...

“Nano art requires artists to rediscover the nano world. What a scientist sees is tangibility while an artist sees is intangibility. As what a scientist sees is tangibility while an artist sees is intangibility. As what an artist pursues is formless and metaphysical, the form in his eyes is especially vital and delicate.” Wang Xiaohui said.
