On August 25, 2022, the “New Office of the Future” Space+ Workshop hosted by MFI and co-organized by Future Office and MATSU was held as scheduled at the Sinar Mas Center—the tallest building of Puxi, Shanghai. About 40 executive personnel from various industries attended the workshop for sharing and exchange.
At the event, MATSU collaborated with Lenovo thinkplus, Purelife and Zhi Bai Hui to create an immersive future office experience space. In compliance with the 4 future office trends of “indoor=outdoor,” cyclic application, mixed mode and flexible office, MATSU aims to create a shared, dedicated and liquid space.
At the event, the corporate real estate management expert Shen Xinlei (Cherry) talked freely about office space needs from the perspective of corporate real estate. Ms. Shen is a corporate real estate specialist, member of CoreNet Global, certified property manager and WELL specialist, with about 20 years of work experience in America-invested transnational enterprise and listed real estate management. She played the leading role in LEED Gold certified project.
Recently, with the repeated outbreaks of COVID-19 and the raging of monkeypox worldwide “health” -related topics have heated up in the society. WELL is a set of system stressing human health and well-being in the architectural environment. At the workshop, Mr. Wu Zhengrui (Robert), Vice President of IWBI (the institute that establishes the WELL Building Standard) in China shared ideas on the topic “WELL Healthy Office Empowers the Sustainable Development of Enterprises.”
Earlier this year, the unexpected “lockdown” of Shanghai forced the people to experience home office for two entire months, mixed with intensified group grocery shopping, loud speakers requesting people to take nucleic acid test and online classes for students trapped at home. The pandemic has proved the effectiveness of digital home office, and leading enterprises of various industries (e.g., Ctrip and Mary Kay) have also officially announced their decision to adopt the mixed office mode. However, what is the new trend of office space in the post-pandemic era?
At the workshop, Julien Demiray, Founder and CCO of Demiray Architectural Solution Consulting, shared his ideas of new office space planning in 2022 for the post-pandemic era.
Thanks to the dynamic zero-COVID policy of China, we enjoyed a relatively healthy and safe environment at this workshop. All of the guests who shared their thoughts or predictions of the new office mode in the future happened to focus on environmental protection and health, and the prefabricated furnishing advocated by Future Office is one of the best solutions.
