Sino-Ocean

When we met the staff of Sino-Ocean at very beginning of this project, we were surprised by their team: robust, youthful, active and passionate, they were quite different from the conventional property companies we are familiar with. We therefore designed a very atypical, contemporary space to show their young and unyielding spirit, and used varied, striking colors to point the way to their bright future. Overall, the forward-looking design is like a safe harbor for the company as they set out on their promising new voyage.

The Vista Building complex hovers like a powerful eagle over the city; its uppermost section, a curved glass curtain wall at the center of the building, acts as a focus for the whole. We therefore chose a BurkhardtLeitnerconstructiv modularized partition system for the second floor, taking advantage of the structure to assemble a meeting area offset by 120 degrees, consisting of three glass-enclosed meeting rooms with an amazing view of the glass curtain wall. Internally, the space breaks through the limitations of a dogmatic linear approach with its winding lines; in addition, the brightly colored furniture adds a vibrant feel.

For the third floor, we selected a combination of the Athena tall partition system and the BurkhardtLeitnerconstructiv system to create a work area for meetings and document copying. The Athena tall partition system successfully met the client’s need for good thermal insulation and acoustic insulation of the meeting room, due to its very good floor and ceiling seals. The copying area, assembled with the BurkhardtLeitnerconstructiv system, is an excellent example of the flexibility of that system, and helps employees to communicate freely with its frame-mounted bulletin board. Furthermore, high-quality graphics, including corporate logos, are printed within the aluminum frames to beautify the space and promote the company culture.

For the staff work area, various combinations of one-person, two-person, three-person, four-person and six-person m-pur workstations were adopted, to make the most economical use of the space while remaining faithful to the overall design concept. Floor partitions of various colors were used, both to denote the different floors, and to reflect the company’s informal work culture.
