The Shanghai HNA Tower
Lujiazui, as China's first national financial development zone and one of the world’s most dynamic and influential financial centers, gathers here 146 Fortune 500 multinationals, 60 foreign financial institutions and nearly a hundred headquarters of domestic and foreign enterprises. To have an office here has become the primary choice of international enterprises, especially financial companies to find a foothold in Shanghai.
The Shanghai HNA Tower project invited the world's most renowned architectural design companies to bid, including JY, the United States, GMP, Germany and China Architecture Design & Research Group (CAG), etc and finally GMP became the designer. The main tower connects to the annex in an “L” shape and the entire complex is complemented by an outdoor waterscape, green square and sunken commercial area. In terms of office space, HNA Tower works with Matsu to create an open, rational working environment.
The entire interior steel structure is exposed, leaving a strong impression of “modern high-tech architecture”. The unique open steel structure contains no ceiling design, allowing a height of 3.5 meters between the raised floor and ceiling as well as a more open office space. The single floor has an area of over 2000 m¬2. Gray is used extensively in office space (e.g. carpet, screen, ceiling, etc.), coupled with the yellowish maple color of Matsu Lenco+ Workstation to deliver the meaning of “great success” in Chinese.
